MISSION STATEMENT
CHIMA’s ICD-10 Task Force is a multi-year initiative developed to provide a resource within Colorado for the purpose of creating awareness, facilitating education and implementation of, and providing best practice solutions for the ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS code sets.
OBJECTIVES
• Coder/Provider survey
• Documentation gap analysis
• Coder education gap analysis
• Analysis of Colorado’s largest health care service lines
• Data comparison
• ICD-10-PCS on outpatient hospital cases
CHIMA’s ICD-10 Task Force is participating in the AHIMA ICD-10 State Medicaid Implementation and Compliance Project. The objective of this project is Medicaid implementation by and compliance with all ICD-10 deadlines and ongoing maintenance.
