Overview
ICD-10-PCS Spinal Fusion Coding: Dissecting the Operative Report
This lunch and learn webinar will present case studies for complex spinal procedures and apply coding guidelines and Coding Clinic advice to arrive at the correct ICD-10-PCS codes.
Objectives:
- Review pertinent spinal anatomy
- Describe spinal fusion procedure intent
- Determine which procedures are integral to spinal fusion and which should be coded separately
- Identify components of the operative report necessary for ICD-10-PCS code assign
Speaker
Kristi Pollard is a senior consultant at Haugen Consulting Group with more than 20 years of industry experience. She is responsible for the development of web-based, instructor-led, and webinar training materials, conducting coding education, and performing coding audits. She has an extensive background in coding education and consulting and is a national speaker on topics related to ICD-10 and CPT coding as well as code-based reimbursement. Kristi serves CHIMA as co-chair of the Data Quality Committee and previously as board Director as well as co-chair for the ICD-10 Task Force. She is also a past president of NCHIMA. Kristi devotes extra time to mentoring current and future coders through her Coder Coach blog and is the proud recipient of the 2011 AHIMA Triumph Award for Mentoring. She has also received awards from CHIMA for Distinguished Member (2018) and Outstanding Volunteer (2013).

The live and on demand audio conference and webinars are non-refundable. If you miss a live session, we will provide you with the recording.
