SCHIMA Board 2021 Nominations

SCHIMA Members,

It has been a challenging year with COVID. We changed our workflow, and many of us are now working from home. Even our SCHIMA meetings are being held virtually for the safety of our valued members. Although there is a lot of talk about a vaccine, it may still take some time for everyone to be vaccinated and feel comfortable meeting in person. Therefore, our Spring meeting is currently being planned for a virtual meeting.

Due to the virtual environment, it seems we have not received any responses for board nominees. To keep SCHIMA going and allow our members low-cost CEUs, we need to have volunteers for the board. To be a board member you need to have a current AHIMA credential.

If you are interested in an open position or know someone you would like to nominate for one, please respond by February 1, 2021, so members can vote on the nominated individuals. The candidates will be announced at the Spring meeting tentatively scheduled for April 2021.

Email your current board if you are willing to serve or would like to nominate someone at
Renee1212@MSN.com. Please put SCHIMA Nomination in the subject line.

Respond by February 1, 2021.
